Frequently Asked Questions

+ What is Microblading?

Microblading is a tattooing technique in which semi-permanent pigment is added to the skin. Microblading is typically used on eyebrows to create, enhance or reshape their appearance in terms of both shape and colour. It deposits pigment into the upper region of the dermis, so it fades more rapidly than traditional tattooing techniques, which deposit pigment deeper. Microblading is also sometimes called embroidery, feather touch or hair-like strokes.

+ How long does permanent makeup last for?

Semi permanent makeup last up to 3 years. Annual touch -ups or colour boosts are common to keep the area worked on looking fresh.

+ What pain tolerance do I need to have?

Pain is different from one individual to another, on a scale of 1-10 tolerance of 2-3 is needed. The pain level for the procedure is considered mild.

+ How long does it take?

Depending on the service. Brows can take from 45 min to 1.5 hrs. Lips 2 to 2.5 hrs. Eyeliner 1 hr.

+ How long does it take to heal?

The area will be slightly red after the procedure and after a few days the colour will appear very dark; this will also include slight scabbing. This is a normal part of the healing process. The colour will fade as it heals. Do not pick at the scabs as this may damage the skin and affect the results of your treatment. It takes approximately 7-10 days for healing and 1 month for the final colour to set. For the best and fastest healing results follow the exact care instructions of your PMU artist and refer to the after care instructions below.

+ Is the touch-up session necessary?

Yes! A touch-up session after 4-6 weeks is required, as this is when I finish your work to ensure it looks perfect and retains the colour properly. In this session, the pigment may need to be adjusted, and I may need to go over areas that didn't pick up the colour correctly in the first session.

+ Can I get my touch-up session sooner than 4 weeks?

No, 4 weeks is the required healing time. Doing the touch-up before 4 weeks could lead to scar tissue build-up or other issues.
